We at FOG + Fitness believe that fitness is a life-long activity. Think about daily tasks that you do such as getting up from chairs, going up and down stairs, picking up your kids, walking your dog, getting up from the ground, and even putting away household items into overhead cabinets. We are firm believers that functional fitness training improves your ability to perform daily activities and tasks more efficiently and safely.
Unlike traditional strength training, which often focuses on isolated muscle groups and lifting heavier weights, functional fitness emphasizes movements and exercises that mimic real-life activities (which is why you’ll never see a burpee in our workouts) and engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously.
Functional fitness training can benefit all ages and fitness levels, from athletes looking to improve their performance to older adults seeking to maintain their independence and mobility. It can also be tailored to specific goals and needs, such as rehabilitation after injury, improving athletic performance, or just enhancing your overall health and wellness!
What is functional fitness?
